Raquel Díaz Reguera (Seville, Spain, October 1974) has been drawing and writing since she was a child. At six years old, she won her first painting competition, and from then on, she began to study, experiment, and try new things. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and complemented her training with courses in graphic design and digital illustration. However, her professional life took a different turn when she put down her paintbrushes to dedicate herself to her passion for music and writing.
Raquel is now a bestselling author and illustrator, having won numerous awards. She is also one of the leading voices on gender in children’s literature. She has written and illustrated more than 50 books, translated into 10 languages, many of which have been adapted for film and television.
